The Ladies Group

Unfortunately this small and happy group of amazing ladies have made the decision to wind down the Frauen Gruppe.  This group was very much involved with special activities to support the club.  The "FilmNachmittag" (German Film Afternoon) that they started, continues to be held the last Sunday of every month under the sponsorship of the Choir and continues to be one of our highlights.  Coffee and cake is provided at a reasonable cost, a German movie and excellent company!  It's a great social outing - that continues because of the original commitment of this great group of people.

The group used to prepare, plan and bake for the annual Christmas Fair, held in the latter part of November each year - this tradition also continues.  In fact, many traditions started by this group continues - and while we always look for volunteers to help for events like: the year for Father's Day brunch, and help the men of the club put on the buffet luncheon for Mother's Day - in 2009 combined as "Family Day".  The photograph below shows the last members of this group - all still very active in their own way within our Society.  Even though the group may now be wound down, they continue to stand out in the crowd and we thank them for all their past efforts.
